The best softboards to buy in Australia is a big question nowadays. Gone are the days of one foamie fits all. This has been the case for a long time now. But it is worth starting here to see how far we have come in the softboard revolution.
What We Know –
Over the years we have narrowed down the best softboards to buy in Australia. That is because we have dealt with most reputable brands & given them a go. Until we find out what is the best product for the surfer to ride & for us to sell. We have also dealt with surf schools & run our own Tradewind Surf Hire business. Which frequently uses these boards. See our hire store below.

The best softboards to buy in Australia –
There is a lot of answers to this one & you need to understand the question you are asking. I would like to mainly focus on the beginner to intermediate market here. As I believe these markets find this information the most useful. For the bigger guys & girls looking to begin & even progress a bit.
I would suggest something like The Softlite Test Tube or The Softlite Koolite in bigger 7 or 8 foot sizes. These two models have extra volume which is better for paddling & stability when catching waves & surfing them.
For the smaller guys & girls, young or old. Then a regular size shortboard is going to suffice. This is a model that has plenty of volume still but less than the plus size models that we spoke about earlier. The Ocean Earth Ezi Rider is great for this or even The Torq Mod Fun or Mod Fish Soft.
That sums up our Best Softboards in Australia review. Feel free to get in contact with us to discuss further!
