Let’s Torq The Don review. The Don is a series of models by Torq Surfboards. A class of longboards, The Don, The Don HP, The Don NR & The Don XL. All models come in Tec construction or ACT construction, both of which techs we have reviewed in earlier blog posts.
Torq The Don Review –
The Torq Don has been one hell of a board in the Torq range. The Torq Don is a straight up longboard that is great for the traditional longboarder with a bit of performance thrown in. The Don NR stands for nose rider so you can guess what this variation is great for.
Moving on to the Don HP & we have the most refined version as the HP stands for high performance. Guys who like to surf longboard contests or generally pushing a longboard to it’s limits rave about the HP. Finally is The Torq Don XL. This one is for the bigger guys, who aren’t quite ready for a Mega Magic or a Jumbo Jet, but still want a bit of extra volume.
Summary –
The Torq Don range has something for all longboard enthusiasts. The constructions are great, strong & lively. To squeeze the most out of lightweight performance for each model, go for ACT. Having said that, we do have guys that choose the Tec construction as first preference. During 2019 & beyond, the Don range became a big mover in our longboard choices for customers & it stays now.
