The first turn! January 13, 2010 – Tags:

2pm and i’m in a meeting with the TWS web designer who is probably sick of the site of me, ‘So can we have this, this and that done asap’.
‘Yes Willow i’l have it done’.
I get so excited, get an idea in my head and i’m round there, voicing my latest update and why it has to be done before the sun is down!
The latest in the pipeline are worth a mention, first of all I would like to say that the girl of the month competition is making a comeback, alot cooler, alot more interactive, and alot easier for everyone to enjoy, and quite possibly a different name, after all it’s all about jazzing the whole thing up!
Next up is the return of our popular but never totally functional classifieds section! We are frothing, the original idea of our website way back in 07, after never totally getting off the ground due to technical difficulties with the old site, is going to be making a comeback, the possibilities of this for the surfer are all in your favour, keep surfing your board while you sell it online, or if the new board isn’t for you, find a board that’s just right on our classifieds from anywhere across the country!
I won’t go to into detail as ideas often have a habit of changing at the last minute but you can rest assured, these along with many other smaller changes are taking place constantly to make your experience with us online as close, if not better, to being there!
We are losing it, I liken this part of tradewindsurf.com’s history to this photo that Andrew Christie took of Kelly and how he must feel as he is pushing through this turn, the wave is a perfect blank canvas at the start, and he has the rest of it to make what he will of it, play with it, stress over it, work on it, make a living and make people happy! I’m sure Kelly was happy when he was working his art on this canvas, so it’s the perfect fit, we’re happy, and probably through the first turn in the companies history, hopefully we have been as solid through the turn as Mr Slater was, and maybe we can keep flarin em out down the line!
