Noosa lights up! March 23, 2010 – Tags: random

Well for years, Noosa Heads in Queensland has had the rep of being too crowded, too fat, and generally more trouble than it’s worth! The scenery is world class and that seems to be the only thing the core surfing community gives it thumbs up for, or is it?
Last week’s swell although not the 50 year storm that all the swell charts suggested was a tick in the right box for Noosa Heads, especially around behind the boiling pot, surfers were even heading up from the famed Gold Coast to get amongst it, this photo i have attached was probably about an hour after the real bombs were coming through but you get the idea of the potential the wave had over this rare North East Swell!
